iTherm® Multiple gate insert plate

iTherm® Multiple gate insert plate is a single body component combining multiple iTherm® Gate inserts and iTherm® Water distribution plate in one monoblock.

It is manufactured from tool steel forged blocks using HTS proprietary additive manufacturing technology.

It is a single body component with equal mechanical properties as tool steel monoblock.

It has only two connectors for cooling water (IN and OUT).

Cooling channels can be freely designed according to cooling/heating requirements of the moulded part, not by limitations of using conventional drilling methods.

There are different iTherm® Multiple Gate Insert types for different Gating Systems.

It is highly customizable to specific customer requirements.

More freedom designing cooling channels

iTherm® Multiple gate insert plate gives you extra flexibility to bring cooling channels near THE critical zones.

 

No leakages

When connecting conventionally made multiple gate insert plates to a cooling circuit you need multiple connectors. With iTherm® Multiple gate insert plates, you need only 2 connectors for a complete system. Compared to iTherm® Single gate insert and iTherm® Water distribution plate combination, you avoid connecting each gate insert to the water distribution plate, because these connections are already made with cooling channels inside the multiple-gate insert plate.

 

Uniform cooling rate of all Gate inserts

Cooling channels in Therm® Multiple gate insert plate are designed in such a way that the cooling rate of each Gate Insert is equal. We use Computational fluid dynamics modelling to determine optimal cooling water flow.

iTherm® MULTIPLE GATE INSERT MODEL RANGE

Based on the specifics of different gating systems, a selection of different iTherm® Multiple gate insert types is available. All types come with a selection of hot runner nozzle, which is placed either on the Cavity or Core side. There is also an option to choose iTherm® Multiple gate Insert without the nozzle seat.

Material

iTherm® Gate Inserts are made using forged or rolled tool steel blocks produced in EU.

Most often used grades are 1.2083/420, 1.2343/H11, 1.2344/H13.

Based on specific customer need, other steel grades can be used.
